Enjoy Englewood Beach

Englewood Beach is one of the best Florida beaches and the most directly accessible of the four beaches on Manasota Key.

Once you are on Beach Road, cross the bridge (the area around the bridge is a great place to look for manatees and dolphins), and at the first intersection. There it is directly in front of you.

If you bring a picnic lunch, there are picnic tables. But if you forget to bring some food, don’t worry. There are restaurants and other shopping venues within a short walk of the beach.

We quite often go to the beach for an afternoon of swimming. When we are not enjoying the water, we sit on the beach and read. When we walk any of the beaches on Manasota Key we are always collecting seashells.

This is great fun when the grandchildren come for a visit. But, I have to admit that both my wife and I, can’t resist hunting for that perfect or unique shell to add to our ever-growing collection.

There are nice boardwalks at Englewood beach.
