Flying to Englewood

Flying to Englewood is very easy. There are four International airports located less than 75 miles from Englewood. We usually drive to Englewood, but on a few occasions we have flown. At this point I should confess that I am terrified of air travel. I waited until I was the ripe old age of 48 before I got onto my first airplane and flew home from Fort Myers airport.

Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport The closest major airport to Englewood is the Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport. Located between the cities of Sarasota and Bradenton, it takes about 30 to 45 minutes, depending upon traffic flow, to reach Englewood. We have used this facility when flying to Englewood ourselves and when taking family to and from their journey. I have found this airport to be clean and efficient in all of its amenities. If you would like to stay in a Hotel in either of these two cities, you can find the best travel deals, compare prices and read what other travelers have to say at TripAdvisor about -m10556-r78268-Sarasota_Florida-Hotel-Deals.html">Sarasota or -m10556-r78268-Bradenton_Florida-Hotel-Deals.html">Bradenton.

Southwest Florida International Airport The next closest major airport is the Southwest Florida International Airport in the Fort Myers area. It takes approximately one hour to reach this airport from Englewood. This was the first airport that I ever used as a passenger. Despite the bad case of jitters regarding my first airplane ride, my experience at this airport was great. The staff at the airport was exceptional. The facilities were clean and the whole boarding process was easy and straight forward. Tampa/St. Petersburg area The other two major airports in the area are located in the Tampa Bay region. The St. Petersburg/Clearwater International Airport and the Tampa International Airport are both about 70 to 80 miles from Englewood. But, remember because of the much larger population base of the Tampa/St. Petersburg area, road traffic will be heavier and it will take longer to connect between the Englewood area and the airport. The state of Florida is a major destination for air travelers from around the world. Consequently, flying to Florida is relatively easy because there are several more international airports located throughout the state. Air travel to or from Florida can begin or end in many airports situated around the state of Florida. Some of these airport locations include Orlando, Miami, and Jacksonville just to mention a few other air travel destinations. I have provided direct links to TripAdvisors excellent deals for the following Florida locations for your convenience.
