Blind Pass Beach is another of the beautiful and wonderful beaches located on Manasota Key.
This is a Florida Beach which we go to when we are looking for a day for reading a good book, soaking up the sun and taking a quick dip in the water whenever we please. |
"Feet loving Blind Pass Beach" |
After crossing the bridge on Beach Road, turn right at the main intersection. In a few moments you will arrive at my wife's favorite beach on Manasota Key.
This location is more than just a beach for sunbathing and swimming, it is a great place to walk about and explore. It stretches almost half a mile along the coast of the Gulf of Mexico. There is lots of opportunity to find those ever-elusive "shark's teeth"!
Along with wildflowers, mangroves and sand dunes there are nature trails for you to explore. These wonderful nature trails cover 60 acres.
Prehistoric sharks teeth, some said to be over a million years old, can be found on the beach which are washed up after the Gulf storms.
There are picnic tables, showers, restrooms and a parking lot for your convenience.
This beach is often referred to as "middle beach". We often go there and spend a day.
We arrive early in the morning and enjoy a swim. Then we take a walk and enjoy the surroundings. After our walk, we swim and then enjoy a picnic lunch.
The afternoon is spent with a good book and few dips in the water. Oooh!! What a way to while away a day enjoying a great Florida beach and wait for the sun to set in Englewood Florida!
