The first of April signals the flight of the Major League Baseball teams from the region. They are pulling stakes from their spring training homes and heading north to begin the regular baseball season. One of our favorite pastimes in April is to go for long evening walks along the sandy shores of Stump Pass Beach. But be warned Stump Pass closes its gates at sunset. Although we have always found the rangers to be accommodating and allow us a few extra minutes to get to the car and leave. After all, who can resist taking the time to take some pictures of glorious sunsets. I never tire of photographing Gulf Coast sunsets no matter which of Englewoods beaches I find myself on at that time of day.
