Florida Golf Schools, provide the average golfer and the better than average golfer, with the opportunity to improve their golf game. We all watch professional golfers on television and invariably one or more will credit his or her improved play around the greens to Dave Pelz. So, if you want to improve your short game, you too can attend a Dave Pelz Florida golf school.
The Dave Pelz Institute created its programs in response to research that reveals that golfers lose almost 80% of their shots to par inside the zone stretching from 100 yards into the putting green. Therefore this golf school curriculum focuses exclusively on what Dave Pelz defines as "The Scoring Game".
Students enrolling at the Scoring Game School work on wedge shots from the fairway, bunkers and rough, short chip shots, and putting. The student/teacher ratio is 4:1.
According to the Pelz Golf website, Dave Pelz' philosophy about what golfers should know is:
The 3 day Scoring Game School provides intensive training around, and on the greens. After completing the 3 day program, students are then classed as alumni and are eligible for Alumni learning sessions that are available in one and two day formats.
The two day sessions provide an opportunity to refresh and refine your golf scoring techniques learned in the original Scoring Game School. The student/teacher ratio is a maximum of 4:1.
The one day alumni session is a concise review of your short game skills as well as putting and green reading. Time is also spent on golf shot strategy. The student/teacher ratio is once again a maximum of 4:1.
Alumni may also receive private one-on-one lessons with a Dave Pelz Scoring Game School instructor. They can also receive discounts on learning aids, books and video as well as receive news and updates from Pelz Golf.
Now if you can't travel to one of the Dave Pelz Scoring Game Schools
in Florida there may be an opportunity to avail yourself of the program
at a location elsewhere in the United States.
(It should be noted that there are also Dave Pelz Golf Schools at various locations throughout Europe.)
During the year, Pelz instructors travel to about 40 cities in the United States to conduct one day clinics. These six hour programs are set up to provide a 3 hour putting session which includes reading greens, your putter path, set up, and sweet spot impact.
The 3 hours used for wedge instruction focuses on proper set up position and techniques to make repeatable swings for wedge shots, including chipping and bunker shots. The student/teacher ratio is 6:1, with a maximum of 18 students per class.
In Florida, the Dave Pelz School is not necessarily close to Englewood as this Florida golf school is located at the Boca Raton Resort & Club on Floridas Gold Coast in Palm Beach County. The Boca Raton Resort & Club, which includes four championship golf courses, has been ranked by Golf Digest as one of Americas top golf resorts.
The Boca Raton Resort & Club features many amenities including 30 tennis courts, an indoor basketball court, six swimming pools, numerous restaurants and a 32-slip marina. There are a number of well-appointed accommodation facilities. But the Cloister, the original facility built in 1926 presents the visitor with the opportunity to enjoy an architectural environment whose unique charm is the result of a combination of Spanish-Mediterranean, Moorish and Gothic influences.
We know that because this Florida golf school is located in southern Florida, visitors to the Dave Pelz School at the Boca Raton Resort & Club are virtually ensured a warm climate to hone their golf skills. Its not Englewood, but it is still sunny Florida!
